Leaves of the mulberry provide a low blood glucose level and are recommended for starting diabetes as well as for weight loss. Morus alba, a mulberry from Asia, is also well-known in Europe but has only been used as a medicinal plant in Chinese and Asian medicine. The Japanese appreciate the leaves of the mulberry for a long time and traditionally drink a health tea from them.
