Hericium


Hericium lat. Hericium erinaceus, also called hedgehog spiky beard, is a fungus species that grows as a wound parasite on older trees in Europe and Asia, but rarely occurs. Hericium is edible and contains many amino acids, which humans should feed with food. In traditional Chinese medicine, it is used for stomach and respiratory problems, nervous disorders, high cholesterol, tumors and weakened immune system. This traditional application has been confirmed by research from Asia. Hericium is said to have an anti-inflammatory and calming effect on the gastric and intestinal mucosa and help with gastritis, reflux, heartburn and hyperacidity. He is also said to fight Helicobacter pylori bacteria in the stomach that cause inflammation of the gastric mucosa and stomach pain.
