Baikal skullcap

Scutellaria baicalensis, German Baikal helmet herb grows in Asia and found there in the traditional medicine u. a. in Chinese and Japanese wide application. The skullcap is rich in flavonoids u. a. to Baikalin and has many effects on the human body. The Baikal helmet has anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, antiviral, against Candida infections, antioxidant and against free radicals. The antibacterial effect also affects antibiotic-resistant bacteria and the dangerous Staphylococcus aureus. In diseases with fever, it has an antipyretic effect. It also helps with bacterial and viral infections of the gastrointestinal tract, which are often noticeable by durations. It also lowers blood pressure and blood sugar levels, calms, protects the liver, slows down arteriosclerosis by inhibiting clumping of platelets and lowering cholesterol. The skullcap also restricts an allergic reaction, on the skin it counteracts the itching, rash, atopic eczema.
